Order your repeat prescriptions online here via SystmOnline
How to order your medication
There are two ways you can order your repeat medication:
- ONLINE – Click the link above to order your prescription via SystmOnline.
- By Hand – prescription requests can handed in at either Borrowash or Breaston. You can post prescriptions through the letterbox at our Breaston Practice ONLY. Please ensure you include your Full name, Date of Birth, NHS Number (if known) and list of medication needed.
Patients who are aged between 11 – 15 years can email repeat prescription requests via overdale.reception@nhs.net This is due to not being able to grant online services for this age group. PLEASE NOTE we will ONLY accept emailed requests for patients in this age group.
Points to note before ordering
All medication requests will be sent to your nominated pharmacy, if the practice does not have a nominated pharmacy allocated to you we will choose the pharmacy closest to your home address. This information can be updated at anytime by contacting the practice.
Only medication that have remaining issues will be available to order. Please make a note of how many repeat issues you have remaining. When ordering your last repeat, please contact the surgery at least 2 weeks prior to running out of the medication and arrange a medication review.
We do not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone, for medico-legal reasons, as errors can occur with this method of communication.

PLEASE NOTE: Access to a child’s SystmOnline will automatically cease once the child reaches the age of 11 years. Medication requests will need to be made via email to overdale.reception@nhs.net It is generally considered that a child of 11 has the capacity to consent to who should have access to their medical record and can choose to withhold information from a third party. Giving online access to a parent/guardian could lead to disclosure of this information without consent from the young person. Wherever possible a clinician would always encourage a young person to involve whoever has parental responsibility in any treatment, but the clinician will decide as to whether a child is Gillick Competent and/or whether they meet Fraser Guidelines. These are terms within the NHS to determine if a young person it mature enough to make their own decisions. For more information visit: https://learning.nspcc.org.uk/child-protection-system/gillick-competence-fraser-guidelines
Once the child reaches the age of 16, online access can be given direct to the patient. The patient will need to complete an adult online application form and provide photo ID
