Patients aged 75-79 years old

From 1st September, everyone turning 75 and those aged 75 to 79 will be offered a single (once only) dose of the vaccination to protect against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). You can have the vaccine up to the day before you turn 80. If you are not yet 75 we will send you an invite once you turn 75.

RSV is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs. Symptoms are similar to a cold but can also make you wheezy or short of breath and lead to pneumonia and other life-threatening conditions. Patients who are pregnant

If you’re pregnant, You should be offered the RSV vaccine around the time of your 28-week antenatal appointment.

Getting vaccinated as soon as possible from 28 weeks will provide the best protection for your baby. But the vaccine can be given later if needed, including up until you go into labour. For further information on RSV for pregnant patients visit RSV Vaccination
